Aiken, SC recap.
And I get it done less than a week after getting home! :D

16 page photo comic, although some of the pages don't have photos. Oops.

And now I know how to use Comic Life. it's clunky, but I know how to use it now. We'll see if I do again or not.

Last bit: I have about 8 frames left on my roll of black/white film before I send it in for developing. What should I take pictures of?

This is an incredible way to document an adventure... wow.

I've known about Comic Life for some time, I just don't have a Mac to use it.

Is it sad that I would consider getting a cheap one just to put something like this together? =P

After using it, and feeling the keystrokes my brain tried to use, I think that Adobe InDesign could be a better tool for uber-users, provided with a pack of master pages and objects like word balloons. Include a set of style sheets, and you're good to go.

The only tool that ComicLife has on its own that InDesign doesn't have out of the box is the creation of distorted and wonkdified/awesomeified text. But if one has savviness with InDesign, one probably possesses savviness with Illustator.

Thanks :D It's kinda shoddy construction/condition wise, but it'll be handy for future outings like this. And I love how Reagan has a thematically matching one that we found the same day.

The SC trip was just a mini-vacation to blow off some steam.

Okay, well, it's a really good comic at least. Semi-illustrated comic. Whichever. ;)

Favorite parts:

  • Your hats. Completely awesome.

  • The map, complete with illustrated wrong turns and all. Now I don't feel quite so bad about getting halfway lost on the way to Ren Faire this year. :)

  • The Sand River. That's pretty cool. Especially the signs noting quicksand. That's totally a D&D encounter waiting to happen.

  • The map. I have that font! It's "Sherwood". :D
